Iterative reconstruction produces the best images and takes the longest to compute: which is why, in practice, clinics often settle for less. This research thread treats that trade-off as an engineering problem rather than a law of nature, moving the mathematics onto FPGA fabric and vision-processor pipelines until the wait disappears.
